This trail follows the old towpath of the abandoned Beaver and Erie Canal. It offers great scenery, including portions of the Shenango River.<br />

The lower half of the trail, from Big Bend to New Hamburg, is gentle singletrack interrupted by short challenging sections, such as stream crossings. It offers a little bit of everything, without being too much to try out, or to walk past.<br />
<br />
The upper section is flatter, but more vulnerable to seasonal growth and to becoming wet, and with many crossings that aren't feasible to attempt to ride.<br />
<br />
The lower section is for straight up riding, the upper section is for adventurous exploring.
